Privacy

QuiVad sets no cookie, shows no advertising and allows no account to be created. Nothing is written to or read from your browser, so there is no consent banner to display: there is nothing to consent to.

What is measured

Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics. A script loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports the page being read, the one you came from, and how long the display took.

It sets no cookie, writes nothing to and reads nothing from your browser, gives you no identifier, and cannot follow you from one site to the next. Cloudflare receives your IP address for as long as answering takes, as any server does, and does not keep it.

What comes out of it is a number of page views. No line of that measurement describes a person, and it serves only to know what is read here.

What is processed

The host of the site keeps technical connection logs, as every web server does: IP address, date, page requested. These logs serve only the security and the correct operation of the service, are not used for analysis, and are not passed to third parties.

Apart from the measurement described above, the site collects no personal data. The terms you type into the search are sent to the server to build the answer and are not kept.

What changed

The previous version of this site used an advertising network and a consent platform that declared 138 third-party vendors. All of it has been removed.

The measurement described above is the only third party the page still loads, and it was chosen for that reason: it counts without identifying.
